Jottings of a photographer

Irregular updates and occasionally irrational ramblings. My view of the site, photography, the country , the world and anything I have an opinion about; as and when I have time.

If you have landed on this page of the web-site and want to see the photographs please select from the menu at the left.

2009-08-31 Lots of images added to site

In excess of 50 new images added to site today, many more still to come.

2009-08-21 Greeting cards

I have been experimenting with these for a little while now, and am pleased I can now offer high quality greeting cards, printed on high quality matt paper. Each card is 5.5" x 4" (10 x 14 cm) approx. They are blank inside and each comes with a plain white, gummed envelope. Currently on offer at shows and exhibitions only they will be available through the web-site as soon as I have time to make the necessary alterations to the site.

2009-07-29 Major improvements

Another 5:00 start today. I am continue to improve the site in an attempt to make this easier for customers to use. Thanks to all for great feedback, many more images still to upload.

2009-07-23 Do you suffer from hayfever?

It has affected me for the last two weeks of June and first two in July for about 50 years! I had been free for a week until a trip into the Derbyshire Peak District today. Had a great walk from Mam Tor along the Great Ridge and made some super pictures (to follow) but did I pay for it! So bad when I got back to the car I had to get my wife to drive me home; yes - that bad!

2009-07-03 Today's the day

The site was launched at the end of May 2009 and I spent a lot of time editing the layout and preparing and loading the first batch of images. Since then it has been neglected whilst I was getting ready for the exhibition. I am devoting today to a major update. There will be lots of super new images to see.

2009-06-30 Luck

"How do you get such good photographs?" people ask me.
Well there's no one special trick; it's luck. Like Thomas Jefferson once said "I find that the harder I work, the more luck I seem to have."
